More future tenses

Below is a list of some of the less common tenses, followed in each case by examples. Note that the continuous tenses convey the idea of an event or state going on for a period of time

 

 

 

Future continuous 

 

The  future continuous is used for actions that will be unfinished at a certain time in the future, or for things that will happen in the normal course of events, rather than being part of your plans and intentions
 

The structure of the future continuous tense is:

 

 

Example 

  • Don't call me after 10 o'clock. I will be sleeping  

 

 

 

Future perfect 

The future perfect tense is quite an easy tense to understand and use. The future perfect tense talks about the past in the future

 

Example

 Future perfect continuous 

future perfect continuous, combines perfect progressive aspect with the future time reference. It is formed by combining the auxiliary will  (Or sometimes shall as above ), the bare infinitive have , the past participle been, and the prsent participle of the main verb.

 

The structure of the future perfect continuous tense is:

You will have been travelling for two days 

For negative sentences in the future perfect continuous tense, we insert not between will and have. For question sentences, we exchange the subject and will. Look at these example sentences with the future perfect continuous tense:
